Known Laser Cut Software Issues

Postby aplazer » Wed Aug 24, 2011 3:40 pm

Error: Laser Print Driver Module has stopped working.

Cause: The speed is set to fast for the machine.

Solution: If running the English measurement version then speed must not be set above 39”
If Metric 990mm. This may also happen if you were using metric settings and have recently changed to English. If the speed was set to 100mm (metric) then switched to English, the software would read it as 100 inches.

----
Error: laser screen shows error messages that reads “Paused press start to begin”

Cause: It is possible that one of the doors is not closed properly.

Solution: Check the limit switch located on the rail on the right side of the top door for the machine. There are 2 wires one wire should be slid on the top blade and the other on the bottom.
The same is true on the back door of the laser except it’s located on the upper right rail of the door as you face the back of the laser looking forward.

Error Messege: Plug in Softdog and Restart the Software

When first installing lazercut 5.3 on a new computer using a Win7 operating system and the error messege comes up saying "Plug in softdog and restart the software". The first thing that u need to do is set lazercut 5.3 to compatable mode.. To do this, right click on the lazercut icon on the desktop and click on properties, click on the tab for compatability.. Check the box that says "Run this program in compatability mode for Window XP (Service Pack 3)" and then click Apply.

If this is done and you still get this error messege then your drivers need to be updated. To update drivers go to the device manager and under the heading of Smart Card Readers you will see the device name Senselock EliteIV v2.x or it will say unknown device along with a yellow caution sign next to it indicating that this device needs to be updated. Right click on the name and choose update drivers.. Search the internet for latest drivers...

Error Messege: The communication is broken for timout.

This messege is indicating that the blue USB cord is not plugged into either the PC or the MPC6535 controller that is located in the back of the machine. If the USB cord is plugged into both the PC and the controller then its indicating that the drivers for this device needs to be updated. Go to device manager and under the Heading of Universal Serial Bus you will see the device name of MPC6536 or it will say unknown device along with a yellow caution sign. Right click on the name and choose update drivers.. Search the internet for latest drivers..
